A good starting point for Four Elephants Jasmine Rice is 1¼ cups of water for every 1 cup of rice. Your ideal ratio may vary slightly depending on your cookware, stove, and preferred texture.

Jasmine rice is simple to cook—but getting it perfectly fluffy, fragrant, and tender every time comes down to a few important steps.
Whether you are cooking Jasmine Rice for the first time, preparing a weeknight dinner, or looking to perfect your technique as an experienced home cook or chef, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know.
With Four Elephants Premium Thai Jasmine Rice, the goal is simple: prepare it properly, cook it gently, and let the rice do the rest.
Watch: How to Cook Jasmine Rice Perfectly
Follow along as we show you how to prepare, cook, rest, and fluff Four Elephants Jasmine Rice for consistently delicious results.
Step 1: Measure Your Jasmine Rice
Start by measuring the amount of rice you want to prepare.
For a simple meal, 1 cup of uncooked Jasmine Rice will make approximately 3 cups of cooked rice, depending on cooking conditions.
Measure your rice carefully so you can maintain a consistent rice-to-water ratio each time you cook.
Step 2: Rinse the Rice
Place the Jasmine Rice in a bowl or fine-mesh strainer and rinse it with cool water.
Gently wash the rice until the water becomes clearer.
Rinsing helps remove excess surface starch and can help produce a cleaner, more distinct texture once the rice is cooked.
Chef tip: Don't aggressively scrub or crush the grains. A gentle rinse is all you need.
Step 3: Add the Water
Transfer the rinsed rice to your cooking pot and add the appropriate amount of water.
For Four Elephants Jasmine Rice, start with:
1 cup Jasmine Rice + 1¼ cups water
The exact amount of water can vary depending on your pot, stove, cooking method, and personal texture preference. Once you find the ratio that works best in your kitchen, keep it consistent.
Step 4: Bring the Rice to a Boil
Place the pot on the stove and bring the water and rice to a boil over medium-high heat.
Once the water reaches a steady boil, give the rice a gentle stir if needed.
Then move to the next step.
Step 5: Cover and Reduce the Heat
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot tightly with a lid.
Allow the rice to cook gently for approximately 15 minutes.
This is one of the most important parts of cooking Jasmine Rice.
Keep the lid closed.
Opening the lid releases steam, which is essential to cooking the rice evenly. Resist the temptation to check the rice while it is cooking.
Step 6: Let the Rice Rest
When the cooking time is complete, turn off the heat.
Keep the lid on and allow the rice to rest for approximately 10 minutes.
This gives the remaining steam time to finish working through the rice and helps the grains settle into their final texture.
Don't skip this step.
Step 7: Fluff the Jasmine Rice
Remove the lid and gently fluff the rice with a fork or rice paddle.
Start from the edges and gently lift and separate the grains.
Avoid aggressively stirring or mashing the rice. The goal is to release the steam while keeping the grains intact.
Now your Jasmine Rice is ready to serve.
How Do You Know When Jasmine Rice Is Perfectly Cooked?
Perfectly cooked Jasmine Rice should be:
- Tender without being mushy
- Fluffy rather than wet
- Fragrant and aromatic
- Soft with individual grains that can be gently separated
- Ready to complement the dish rather than overpower it
If your rice is too firm, it may need a little more cooking time or moisture.
If it is too soft or wet, you may have used too much water or released too much steam during cooking.
The more you cook rice, the easier it becomes to recognize the ideal texture.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"This is the best jasmine rice, hands down. The smell in my rice cooker is amazing… fragrant, slightly sticky and so delicious! If you want your rice stickier, add 1/4 cup more water… always cooks perfectly, whether making 1, 2, or 4 cups❤️Might be a tad more pricey, but you get what you pay for… went to Phuket this past January, this is the one rice that tastes like vacation🥰"
5 Tips for Better Jasmine Rice Every Time
1. Measure consistently
Use the same measuring cup and rice-to-water ratio each time. Consistency is the foundation of repeatable results.
2. Don't over-rinse
A gentle rinse is enough. You don't need to wash the rice aggressively.
3. Keep the lid closed
Steam is part of the cooking process. Opening the lid repeatedly can interfere with the cooking temperature and moisture balance.
4. Keep the heat low
Once the rice reaches a boil, gentle cooking is key. High heat can cause water to evaporate too quickly or the bottom of the rice to cook unevenly.
5. Let it rest
Those extra minutes after cooking make a difference. Give the rice time to finish steaming before fluffing.
From First Pot to Perfect Technique
Cooking Jasmine Rice doesn't need to be complicated.
For beginners, the process is simple: measure, rinse, add water, boil, cover, cook, rest, and fluff.
For experienced cooks and chefs, consistency becomes the real goal. Once you understand how your rice, cookware, heat, and water work together, you can fine-tune the process to achieve the texture you prefer.
The best technique is the one you can repeat.

Very Good Jasmine Rice Purchased Multiple Times
Very good Jasmine rice, the second best I have eaten. The best to me is 3 Elephants, but very had to find. People have to understand, this rice comes from Southeast Asia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, maybe other countries. It is grown is little villages by hand mostly, no company farms that I have seen. Be happy you sometimes find a bug in your rice, that means no nasty chemicals (formaldehyde) or worse. You gently wash the rice 3 times before cooking for a reason, dirt, bugs, litter, ect is mixed in. The price is very fair, the Chinese Gov has been buying up rice crops all over Asia the last year or so. Delivery is great! This is a top quality product!

Excellent!!!
Excellent flavor and taste. Just follow the directions. The directions did not say to rinse until the water runs clear, so I didn't. Turned out great! No problems.

After bringing the rice and water to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and cook for approximately 15 minutes. Then turn off the heat and allow the rice to rest, covered, for approximately 10 minutes.
Resting allows the remaining steam to distribute through the rice and helps the grains finish cooking and settle into their final texture.
